Shipping & Returns

This is a policy template. It is not a statement of actual shipping or return services until the store owner confirms and publishes real operational details.

Shipping coverage and fees

Before launch, list the states or ZIP codes served, shipping methods, carrier, fees, order-processing time, estimated delivery window, and any exclusions. The final checkout or order confirmation should show the full cost before the customer commits.

Cash on delivery

Cash on delivery is available only if the store and its delivery partner actually support it for the customer's location. Confirm serviceability, payment method, and any COD fee before confirming an order. Selecting COD in the demo order form is only a preference.

Order cancellation

Publish a real cancellation window and explain how customers can request cancellation. Do not promise cancellation after dispatch if your carrier or fulfillment process cannot support it. Applicable legal rights remain unaffected.

Returns and exchanges

Before taking orders, specify how many days customers have to request a return, which items qualify, condition and packaging requirements, whether return shipping is paid by the customer or store, and how to obtain a return authorization. Any exclusions must be lawful, clear, and shown before purchase.

Refunds

State the refund method and realistic processing timeline, including any time needed for a payment provider or bank. Never promise an exact refund date that cannot be met. Where required by law, statutory refund rights take precedence over this policy.

Damaged, missing, or incorrect items

Tell customers how soon they should contact support, what order details or photos may help investigate, and how replacement, return, or refund decisions are handled. Do not ask customers to send payment-card details.
